On September 27th 2013, David passed away after a tragic car accident on his way to work. He was only 40 years old and still full of life. David was a devoted husband and caring father, loving son, loyal brother, and amazing friend to countless people. For those who had the pleasure of knowing David, they would tell you he was the epitome of all that is kind and good. He greeted everyone with his twinkling eyes and welcoming smile. David was always even-keeled and upbeat. He was eternally optimistic and truly embraced life. That infectious and genuine laugh unique to David will never be forgotten.
Over 2,000 people showed up at St. Michael’s Church in North
Andover to pass on their condolences, share their stories, and show their support. Most waited in line for over three hours just to say goodbye. It was a simple sign of the impact David had on the people and community he touched.
David leaves behind a loving wife Kristen and three young children – Colin (8), Kevin (6), and Caroline (3). If David was one thing, he was a family man. He lived for his wife and kids and cared only about their health and happiness. It is impossible to replace what David provided to his family. In his honor, family and friends have established The David L. Vaughan Children's Trust to support Kristen and the kids and ensure his dreams for them are delivered.
